Veteran's Day 2008

Veteran's Day was a blast this year! We grabbed a bunch of friends and headed for the mountains! It had rained for two days before and the weather report said that the high would be around 40 degrees, so I packed up all the snow gear, and boy did we need it!

We dutch-ovened and cooked some delicious bar-b-que pork and made smores over the fire. Needless to say, it was cold, but the kids had a great time and we always have a good time with this motley crew!

Halloween 2008

Another year of ghosts and goblins to fill our home! The kids love Halloween and all that it has to offer. The kids love the costumes, the candy, the decorations and cool weather that always seems to arrive in Vegas just in time. Reagan was a black cat, Abbey was Belle from Beauty and the Beast, and Chase was a Jedi Knight.

Reagan is 4 yrs old!

Yep, that feisty, but incredibly adorable Reagan Ashley is 4 yrs old! Reagan brings a huge element of humor and spirit into our home. She can hold her own and boy does she ever!! We love you Ms. Reagan and wish you a very happy birthday!

Chase is 11 yrs old!

While we were in Utah visiting family, Grandma surprised Chase with a birthday cake and then just three days later he officially turned 11 yrs old. He had a terrific birthday party at home with our family and Grandpa and Nana Hall.

Chase is so handsome and has the heart of a lion. We couldn't be more proud of our amazingly special young man. We love you Chase and wish you a very happy birthday :)

Flinders Family in Utah

Our family took a quick trip to Utah for Scott to attend a BYU game with his Dad and brothers while the girls stayed home with all those adorable cousins! We had a great time. What a great looking family! The folks in the photo are Jay and Peggy Flinders (grandparents) - Tory (brother) and Madeline with Hayden, Benson, and Isabella - Craig (brother) and Andrea with Max - And . . . our family!

WOW! Our Abbey was amazing this last season in soccer. She ruled the field!! We were so proud of her. She really has a knack for this sport. Watch the video and see for yourself! Way to go Abbey girl :)

Sweet Reagan

My baby is heading to Pre-School this week. I can't believe how big she is getting. However, when I saw this photo that was taken just yesterday before church, I see that she's not much of a baby anymore . . . We love you big girl!

The kids loved being on the lake and we all loved being on the boat! Isn't Scott a super dad?! I love these photos of the kids driving the boat. You'll have to go back to last year's pictures at Big Bear to see just how much the kids have grown this past year. We love the memories that come from our Big Bear!

Grandma Hall's Birthday!

One of the many perks of living so close to grandparents is being able to share one another's birthdays! Once again, Grandma has turned 29 (don't mind the cake!) We love you Grandma!

Ward Camp-Out!

Our ward went on a camp-out last week and our Abbey went off on her own with her two best friends. Scott flew out to Denver, CO to meet up with his family and do some temple work for his grandparents and so I stayed home with Chase and Reagan. We sure are proud of our brave camper!

At a recent birthday party for one of our dear friends, Reagan was asked to make a mean face and boy did she deliver! "Don't mess with me!" is what this little pistol is capable of saying without any words! I know, I know, she gets it from her daddy . . .

With Tory's family (Scott's younger brother) coming for a visit, we enjoyed an evening out eatting Sushi, going to the pool, watching movies, attending parades, enjoyed a massive water balloon fight, watched fireworks, and went up to the mountains.

My parents love to dutch oven and get out of the heat (Vegas Valley/106 degrees, Mt Charleston/72 degrees) and that is exactly what we did. The kids had a blast being with one another. We are so blessed to have such terrific families! Love you guys . . .

The 4th of July!!

I love the 4th of July; We have such fun traditions!! We spend our entire day with friends, family, fun, sun, and of course, FIREWORKS! This year, Tory's family (Scott's younger brother), the O'dell family and her sister's crew from Fresno, CA, and my parents joined us for the festivities.

We went to the Boulder City parade at 8:30 AM. We ate lunch at the park along with an amazing balloon/water fight amongst the Dads and kids. There are no words to describe how much fun our grown men had!! Lastly, we drove back out to Boulder City for fireworks.

We congregate with our dearest of friends at the same spot each year to light sparklers, throw poppers, and lay in the grass on top of our blankets. Then, at 9:00 PM sharp, you begin to hear the loud booms of one of the best shows in all of Las Vegas. It was a perfect day!
