The Flinders Family 2007

Is that a great looking family, or what! I love these guys . . .

Grandparents at Disneyland

We are so blessed to have two sets of really amazing GRANDPARENTS! With having my parents just five minutes away, we spend some terrific times with one another. Especially, our short trips to California! My children have "no doubts" as to how much they are adored :o)

Disney Video - "Christmas Parade"

This is some footage of the Disney Christmas Parade! What fun! If there is anything worth watching, it's the look in your children's eyes as they watch all of their dreams come to life! We love you Disneyland . . .

Disney Video - "Princess Delight"

At Disneyland, they have opened a new area called, "Fantasy Fair". You dance, read, and meet with each of the pretty ladies while entering a castle and being surrounded by men in tights! While Reagan was dancing she felt a hand on her back and it was Sleeping Beauty, IN PERSON!! Reagan just froze . . . It was fantasitic!

Disneyland 2007

Yes, we just returned from another adventure at the Happiest Place on Earth, none other than, Disneyland! I have to admit, the place never gets old. We've been there at least five times and still find new rides, shows, and characters. We've made it a family tradition to go to the park during the first week of December with as much family as possible. This year Grandma and Grandpa Hall joined us once again as we spent two days hopping back and forth from California Disney to Disneyland. We absolutely loved another spectacular trip!

Chase is "Student of the Week"

Yeah, Chase! What a guy. This last week in school, Chase was chosen as his class "Student of the Week". His teacher was out sick and when she returned she found out that Chase had also been out with the flu. However, when her voice would crack during reading time, or when she would sneeze in the hallway, Chase would grab her water bottle, or ask if she was OK. She said that it really touched her knowing that he wasn't feeling much better, but still took the time to look out for her. GREAT WORK BUDDY!

Soccer Season Has Come to a Close . . .

Chase did an awesome job this year in Soccer. He played defense and really got into the game :o) We apprehensively placed Chase into a regular league this year and hoped for the best. I can't tell you how many times I walked away from a game with tears of sincere pride and joy! We have to give a lot of credit to two amazing Coaches that led a brilliant team. This team was truly one in a million. Go CHARGING HAWKS!!

Yum, Yum, Gobble, Gobble 2007

Don't you just love the smells of Thanksgiving?! Scott's parent's came for a visit while my older brother and his family stayed at my parent's place. The dinner was spectacular (if I may say so myself), however the FLU that followed and hit every member of the family, including guests, was not so much appreciated. Hey, what can we say, at least we were able to bond in ways that you can't even imagine . . .

Veteran's Day 2007

It was a beautiful Veteran's Day in Las Vegas! We enjoyed a day away from home as Scott took the day off and we went to the Las Vegas Spring Preserve. It was so much fun! It was good to be out in the sun while spending time with Daddy. Thanks for the memories . . .

My Abbey and the Nutcracker

Abbey looks forward to attending the Nutcracker every year. It is a night that just includes us girls and she loves the attention. Reagan was a bit miffed that she was not "yet" invited, but Abbey looked beautiful. We ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and then on to the play . . .

Halloween 2007

Trick or Treat?! Don't you just love the little people during this exciting holiday? The kids dressed up as a Desperado (Chase), a Mermaid (Abbey), and Dora the Explorer (Reagan). As you can see, they had a BLAST! We started our ghoulish weekend with a trip to the Clark County Outdoor Museum where they decked-out all of the old settler homes, trains, and wagons in Halloween decor. Then onto an evening of tradition and fun on the 31st! Happy Halloween . . .

Reagan Ashley is 3 Years Old!

Can you believe it?! I can't, or maybe, I just don't want to. My girl is becoming so BIG! Our Reagan is a lot like the character, Scout, in To Kill a Mocking Bird. She keeps all of us on our toes. She can be the most loving little person and then turn around and hold her own. I know, I know, Scott's rubb'n off on her! We sure love our Reagan Ashley very much . . .

My Best Buddy . . .

It's not always easy dragging my better-half out the door as often as I like to run! However, he typically ends up having a great time and I end up loving him that much more. It was an amazing evening on the mountain and once again, I shared it with my one and only . . . best buddy.

Autumn in Vegas

We have figured out that to enjoy a colorful Autumn in Vegas you have to take a 40 minute drive up into the mountains. So, we did! WE LOVE MT. CHARLESTON! Grandpa and Grandma brought their dutch ovens and we invited a few friends and had a wonderful time. The weather was nice and crisp and the trees were beautiful. It's comforting to be reminded that life is good, sometimes ya gotta look for it, but it's never too far away . . .

Down on the Farm

Abbey's first Field Trip on a bus! Whoa! Her 1st grade class attended a Farm Festival. I've been to my fair share of livestock shows, and actual farms, but I had yet to attend a Farm Festival. It was a BLAST! It was a livestock show, rodeo, and a little bit of everything all in one place. The best part was meeting the Rodeo Queen . . . at least for a six year old girl. For me, it was just plain home sweet home! Ya just gotta love COUNTRY!

Soccer Has Arrived!

WE LOVE SOCCER!!! Chase joined an amazing soccer league this year and we have really enjoyed our Saturday afternoon's because of it! Fall, in Vegas, is absolutely gorgeous! The weather is PERFECT. Every Saturday, the whole family (including grandparents) trek down to Anthem, NV, set-up our chairs, open our lunch bags, and enjoy a game of soccer. It is wonderful. Chase is doing super and as you can see in the photos, he's even becoming more aggressive. WAY TO GO CHARGING HAWKS!

P.S. Abbey is dying to play next season (especially when she noted that the girl's league has "pink" uniforms)!
